2017 – Sixth annual Groningen Declaration Network Meeting, Melbourne, Australia

The 2017 Annual Groningen Declaration Meeting was held in Melbourne, Australia from 26 to 28 April under the theme Extending Engagement .

The meeting was held at the University of Melbourne, one of Australia’s oldest universities. At the forefront of tertiary education and research in Australia, the University of Melbourne maintains its reputation excellence, currently ranking number 1 in Australia (Academic Ranking of Universities 2015 and number 33 in the world, Times Higher Education Rankings 2015-2016).

The University of Melbourne is located in the heart of Australia’s second largest city, Melbourne, a vibrant centre known for its food, wine, museums, art galleries and strong sporting tradition.

Higher Ed Services, a not-for-profit company owned by Universities Australia, the peak body for Australia’s universities, worked with the University of Melbourne to organize the 2017 meeting.

AICEP PRE-GDN CONFERENCE SEMINAR

Prior to the Groningen Declaration Network (GDN) meeting in Melbourne, a group of stakeholders in credential evaluation and digital student data met. They felt the importance of discussing and sharing the needs of credential evaluators as they relate to the work of the GDN. It was decided to bring the stakeholders together in conjunction with the meeting in Melbourne, with the support of TAICEP, the GDN, and Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.
